
I really admire people who don't follow the herd. It makes my skin crawl to witness the societal need to conform to what(ever) industry manifests as what is to be considered cool. Few people are willing to confront these injustices, but instead join the herd of sheep because it's more comfortable and less mess.
Cori Schumacher is one of those people who is willing to question the intentions and actions of the status quo. What I find so unique about her is how successful she has been in this game we call "professional women's longboarding" without compromising her ideals. In fact, Cori's conviction encourages her to act, without fear of judgment.
